Program Description

Oweya, operated by The Oweya Group LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"), operates an SMS notification program to keep members informed about ride activity within their trusted networks. Messages may include:

  • New ride requests posted in your network
  • Updates on rides you have offered or requested
  • Ride status changes (accepted, driver en route, completed)

How to Opt In

You opt in to SMS notifications by checking the SMS consent checkbox during account signup, or by enabling SMS notifications in your account settings. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Oweya at the phone number you provided. Consent is not required as a condition of using Oweya.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on activity in your networks. You may receive multiple messages per day during periods of high network activity, or no messages on quiet days.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates charged by your mobile carrier apply to all SMS messages sent and received. Oweya does not charge separately for SMS notifications.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time using any of these methods:

Oweya SMS is available on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket, US Cellular, and others. Carrier availability may vary.
